Superintendents course has reached century milestone

The 100th student to take a nine-day Ship Superintendents Training Course successfully completed their training in October. Launched in May 2006 and delivered twice a year, the course is a joint initiative between the Isle of Man Ship Registry and the Isle of Man International Business School and is delivered on the Isle of Man by a wide range of industry experts.rnCourse director Steve George, of marine consultancy EMCS International, says that the qualification is primarily designed for recently appointed ship superintendents or aspiring entrants into the world of ship management or ship ownership - whether working for arnshipowner or ship management company, or applying from a deck, engineering or naval architecture background.
