Casualties mount from Asian storms

Storms resulted in maritime casualties in East Asia in September and early October.Four seafarers died and six more were reported missing from Panama-registered 18,995dwt bulker Jui Hsing, which split in two after grounding north of Keelung, Taiwan on 3 October. Eleven crew members were rescued.On 26 September eight people were killed in the Philippines as Typhoon Nesat battered Luzon, stranding 3,600 ferry passengers in the ports of Matnog, Tabaco and Calapan.
