Building a global knowledge centre

Norwegian training organisation STC Group is spending €1.3M ($1.8M) on upgrading its maritime simulators in the Netherlands. The investment will see six bridge, five engine-room and four cargo-handling simulators (provided by Kongsberg) improved and extended for the Rotterdam-based organisation. An additional 11 bridge simulators, including models from Simutech and Marin, are being upgraded, and it has also bought a new Sulzer engine-room simulator and a new Kongsberg LNG-cargo-handling simulator.
