Real-time ship tracking

Cruise company MSC has implemented a voyage-planning and monitoring system that uses real-time ship position and other voyage data to monitor the progress of the company's fleet. MSC approached the Dutch independent software design company Quality Positioning Services (QPS) after seeing the company's analysis of Costa Concordia's tracks, both on its fateful last voyage and on a previous close pass of Giglio.
