"Abandon ship - all hands muster at your boat stations" was the title of an article in the February 1972 issue of Safety at Sea. The author wondered how many seafarers, on hearing that cry, would feel the "first icy finger of fear strike at their hearts" and further proposed that very few of them would be prepared for what would follow.
