Cruise ship passenger found dead

A cruise passenger died after jumping off the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) vessel Norwegian Sun in November. The unnamed passenger was seen jumping overboard from a public area on Deck 12 at around 19.00 on 2 November, a company spokesman told SAS. The ship immediately turned around, launched its rescue boats and conducted a thorough search. "At approximately 20.00 ET, the guest was located in the water, returned to the vessel and pronounced deceased by the ship's doctor. All appropriate authorities have been notified," the spokesman added.
