Two people were missing after a ship fire off the coast of south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, local maritime authorities have reported. The sand dredger caught fire at about 10.00 on 19 October, about 3nm from a pier of a local power plant in Tieshan port, Beihai city. All the crew were rescued from a Honduras-registered tanker that sank 35nm southwest of Little Liouchiou, an islet off southwestern Taiwan. Yong Win 3, which was carrying more than 5,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, sank late on 22 October after listing heavily for hours.
