Blaze leaves three mariners missing

Three mariners are missing after several tugs caught fire at Tanoto Shipyard in Jurong, western Singapore. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which responded to the fire alert at about 21.20 on 26 March, said four crew members were rushed to the nearest hospital while three mariners were unaccounted for. The SCDF took one male casualty from the incident site to Singapore General Hospital. The other three casualties who were in a passing vessel in the vicinity were ferried by a Police Coast Guard (PCG) craft to the PCG Gul base and then taken by SCDF ambulances to National University Hospital, the SCDF said.
