BP has agreed to plead guilty on 11 felony counts of what US law classes as 'seaman's manslaughter' arising from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon spill disaster and will pay a record $4Bn criminal fine.The explosion and fire in the Gulf of Mexico killed 11 people on the platform and caused oil to gush from the well for months, creating the worst environmental disaster in US history.
