Rena's salvage on hold pending court decision

Maritime New Zealand on 4 February granted the owners of Rena permission to halt salvage work on the remaining wreckage of the 47,000-tonne container ship that ran aground on Astrolabe Reef off the northern coast of New Zealand in October 2011.
