EMF delay confirmed As indicated in last month's issue, the deadline for transposing the Physical Agents (Electromagnetic Fields) Directive into national law has been postponed for four years to allow further research to be carried out. Announcing the decision, EU commissioner for employment, social affairs and equal opportunities, Vladimir Spidla, said: "Postponement of the transposition will allow time to review the current Directive and amend those provisions which have been shown to be problematic by recent scientific studies."
