Health and safety progress in Oman praised

The Institution praised the efforts of Oman in raising health and safety standards for workers, at an event in Muscat at the end of April. Held at BankMuscat, the IOSH Middle East Annual Conference arrived in Oman for the first time in its three-year history. It shares the country's vision of developing safer, healthier workplaces across the region, to reduce deaths, injuries and ill health and protect livelihoods of workers. IOSH president Subash Ludhra and BankMuscat manager of corporate social responsibility Essam Al Sharji opened the event, addressing more than 130 delegates and VIPs.
