EU parliament takes positive steps to improve aviation safety

EU pilots and air-traffic controllers have welcomed the EU parliamentarians' positive vote on the proposed new Occurrence Reporting Regulation. The European Parliament transport committee agreed on 17 September to refine and improve the procedures for the reporting of aviation safety incidents and setting up a solid framework for strengthening aviation safety across Europe.
