Dr Karen McDonnell has been chosen as IOSH's next President-Elect. Karen, an IOSH member since 1989, is set to succeed Ian Harper at the Institution's annual general meeting on November 4, when Ian takes on the mantle of President. In her nomination statement presented to Council, the elected body that represents IOSH members, she said: "I take pride in the fact that I have recognised opportunities to take forward the health and safety message in my personal and professional life, and am deeply committed to my work in Occupational Safety, Health and the Environment, both as a career and for its value as a contribution to society."
