MSPs' tribute to former president

The life and work of former IOSH president John Chinnock OBE has been recognised by members of the Scottish Parliament. A motion was recently tabled in Holyrood by MSPs which paid tribute to Mr Chinnock, who died on 13 February aged 93. The motion acknowledged Mr Chinnock's dedication to IOSH, with him having been a member of the Institution since 1950 and serving as its president between 1972 and 1974. It also noted the part that he and other members of the presidential committee at the time played in giving evidence before the Robens Committee which contributed towards the formation of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
