The observational data from the UkrNIGMI station are used in this review instead of those from network station Kiev for compiling the maps on total ozone (TO). The stations are spaced by 30 km. The quality of data from the Lvov, Ashkhabad, Guriev, and Krasnovodsk stations in the first quarter of 2006 does not allow us to use them to analyze the ozone fields. Mean TO values in the first quarter of 2006 over the territory under control were close to the long-term means for 1974-1984 (Fig. 1a), save the Arkhangelsk and Feodosiya stations. The abnormally low quarterly mean TO value was observed at the Feodosiya station: deficit of the quarterly mean TO value was 8%, or 2.6 SD. The anomalous increase in the quarterly mean TO value, compared with the climatic mean, was observed in Arkhangelsk, 19%, or 3.8 SD.
