On the base ofthe hydrochemical data collected in 1996-2010, the variations are estimated of the chemical composition of snow water and river water on the southeastern shore of Lake Baikal. This water was affected for a long time by atmospheric emissions from the Baikal'sk Pulp and Paper Mill. Revealed are the trends towards increase in the concentration of some ions be ing the tracers of emissions from pulp-and-paper industry and combined heat-and-power plants. It is demonstrated that the chemical composition of snow water and river water depends on the distance between a river catchment and a pollution source. In recent decade, the resistance of water in the southern Baikal tributaries to acidification has clearly decreased.
