RADIONUCLIDIC PURITY - AN ESSENTIAL PARAMETER IN QUALITY CONTROL OF RADIOPHARMACEUTICALS

Radiopharmaceuticals are radioactively labeled compounds fulfilling the requirements of pharmaceutical products, used in radio diagnosis or radiotherapy. One essential parameter in the quality control of radiopharmaceuticals is the radionuclidic purity. In this work, we present aspects regarding the radionuclidic purity determination for the radiopharmaceutical products: Sodium Iodide (~(131)I) solution; Sodium Iodide (~(131)I) capsules for radiodiagnosis; Sodium Pertechnetate (~(99m)Tc) injection (non-fission).
