Twenty-five and still going strong! This year marks the 25 th anniversary of the American Public Works Association Western Snow & Ice Conference and National Snow Road-eo. It all began back in 1980. Larry Schneider, today street superintendent for the city of Fort Collins, Colo. (but then a street supervisor for the city), was returning from an APWA conference in Fort Worth and talked with his flight companions about the possibility of attracting the association's North American Snow & Ice Conference to Denver.
