Perini Building Co., already building the $800-million Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas for Stations Casinos Inc., recently landed a $3-billion construction contract for MGM Mirage's $6-billion Project CityCenter development, the mammoth Las Vegas Strip "city-within-a-city" undertaking announced in November. The 66-acre project, situated between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo resorts, calls for a 4,000-room hotel tower, casino, convention center, and showroom, with approximately 500,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, three branded boutique hotels and numerous residential towers. Perini will also be responsible for constructing the infrastructure, hardscape and landscape.
