The next time the boss' door is closed, he could be wrapping up important business or sitting in on a teleconference. Then again, he might be pushing his paperweight around his desk with a scale-model wheel loader. So listen for the vrooming sound effects when walking by. Poke your head into almost any aggregate operation office and you'll likely find die-cast scale models of equipment resting on a window ledge or meticulously placed on a desk corner. In this industry they are nearly as common as real machines. They could have been purchased from a collector on an online-auction site like eBay or from the manufacturer's gift shop. Or, the models could have been thrown in as a bonus for buying equipment. But even if it was bought straight from a toy store, do NOT call it a toy.
