Tri-dem axle layout gains in popularity

Established in 1988, Wisbechbased Priden Engineering has built an enviable reputation in the quality of its specialist bodies. The company originally built solely for the animal feed sector but it has since diversified. Taking centre stage on its stand at Harrogate was a Volvo FM Globetrotter in the colours of Wynnstay Group. Based on an 8x4 rigid chassis, this was in a configuration known as tri-dem where three of the axles are located at the rear of the chassis.
