All-lane running

The RHA has taken a more positive view of 'all-lanes' running on motorways, in the face of a highly critical report by MPs. The transport select committee's report criticised the DfT and Highways England, saying that permanent loss of the hard shoulder of motorways on all-lane sections is "a radical change" carrying unacceptable safety risks.
