Haulier defends industry in TV debate

Helena Wright of W's Transport made a spirited defence of the industry in an appearance on Mustard TV's This Week programme in Norwich, discussing the city's pollution problem. It followed local MP Clive Lewis's call for a charging zone to be imposed on vehicles coming into the city. Wright said, "Our industry has already been used to schemes like this, London being one of the biggest," and pointed out that, "businesses like ourselves are already investing in cleaner vehicles, but it comes at a price. We can't buy up-to-date Euro VI vehicles without investing money, and my main concern is that businesses that have already made that investment are going to face additional charges."
