Total Lubricants to invest in West Yorkshire site expansion

Total Lubricants is to invest in the development and expansion of its blending plant at Ferrybridge in West Yorkshire, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in August. The plan includes the purchase of four acres of land adjacent to the site, which will enable Total to upgrade the plant, review its warehousing operations and enhance the blending process. Planning permission has been granted and work is due to commence in 2021. The plan, says Total Lubricants includes the use of renewable energies and the optimisation of the manufacturing process to increase the efficiency of the site. Total Lubricants' Blending Plant in Ferrybridge currently employs 90 staff. Total is the only integrated oil company which still manufactures lubricants in the UK. It has been blending in the UK since 1970.
