The PM620 and PM622 cold planers from Caterpillar are high-production, highly maneuverable half-lane milling machines that perform controlled full-depth removal of asphalt and concrete pavements in a single pass. Operating weights are 73,260 lb for the PM620 and 74,580 lb for the PM622, while transport weights are 64,680 lb and 66,140 lb. The cold planers are powered by the Cat C18 ACERT engine providing 630 hp of gross power. Both machines use a four-post design. The leg posts feature an auto-leveling function that provides smooth height adjustment without stepping. The PM620 is equipped with a 79-in.-wide high-production rotor, while the PM622 has one that is 88 in. wide.
