Collecting transport and travel data in the Pacific Islands - Fiji's first national household travel survey

Fiji's first national Household Travel Survey (HTS) was conducted in 2015 with a representative sample across the country. It achieved a response rate of 89%. In designing a methodology for the survey, the key question was whether to work with and apply an accepted standard methodology, or to develop and produce a bespoke methodology specifically for Fiji.
