摘要

The regulations of passive protective equipment contain only little Information on the subsoil. The study described below investigated this question and analyzed the load bearing behaviour of driven steel posts in changing ground conditions. The regulations use the soil classes as per DIN 18300 as a basis for calculation. This has to be seen critically from a geotechnical point of view. For this reason a Parameter study for various soil types, which are given soil-mechanical values pursuant to DIN 1055, was made to ascertain the load bearing characteristics of driven steel posts on level ground as well as in sloping terrain. The results show: The pressure which the individual post can accommodate strongly depends on the type of soil and terrain. Finally, the author has a critical look at the regulations from a geotechnical point of view. In summary, it can be said that the regulations should be revised in terms of soil mechanics.
