Highly valued Richard Saxon explains the importance of value to design

Values, in their widest concept, underpin everything we, as individuals, organisations, or societies, do. Even though we might not be aware of them, values - the ideas and concepts we adhere to - fundamentally influence how we judge everything, whether it be people, processes or products and they dictate how we spend our time and effort. Last month we looked at the findings of the research project 'Managing Value Delivery in Design'. This month we look at the intangibles that influence our perception of value and how they might be discerned.
