British Architectural Library eyes funding after shedding entrance fee to public

The British Architectural Library, at 66 Portland Place, one of the world's foremost architectural collections, has dropped its admission fee to members of the public. From 1 January entry to the library has been free in a move which makes the BAL eligible to apply for government funding. A series of enhanced services and privileges for institute members is planned.
