I agree with John Whitton about the obituaries (letters, December/January 2011) There have been at least two occasions when the single line entries referred to people I have known in the past, whose architectural connections could at least have warranted another line or two. One was Sir John Smith, who founded the Landmark Trust (the major national newspapers issued substantial obituaries for him), and the other Dennis Broodbank, who must have been known to many architects as one of their year masters at the Regent Street Polytechnic school of architecture.
