Nearly six years after Clearing planning Marks Barfteid's i360 observation tower has secured a £17.8 million loan to get the project going. The tower, with ascending pod that wraps around it, will be buitt on Brighton's seafront opposite the　now-derelict West Pier.Money secured by Brighton and Hove City Council and a local enterprise partnership at low lending rates has unlocked the project in the absence of bank loans. i360 will announce key collaborators this autumn.
