As many readers know, we recently held our seventh annual Resource Recycling Conference, which brought hundreds of recycling leaders and professionals to New Orleans.That fine city is rife with many beliefs and superstitions, a fact that is personified by a woman named Madame Laveau, the proprietor of a French Quarter establishment called House of Voodoo. She said looking into the future was her specialty, and that made me think about the recycling industry - and what comes next for the business of materials recovery.
