摘要

A mathematical model of the business system that links innovation of products and services to financial growth represents both investment and revenue as a series of overlapping waves, thus more directly capturing the lagged relationship between investment and revenue growth over time. By teasing out some of the underlying non-obvious relationships, the approach provides important and often counterintuitive insights into the roles that early learning, staffing decisions, and investments in process improvements and services can play in improving the income-to-investment ratio.
