Composite Shroud Box

摘要

The invention allows tor the reduction of the torsional stiffness of closed box composite structures which have been designed to replace a metallic structure. Reducing the torsional stiffness of a metallic box via a slot is well known. This type of feature would be undesirable in a Composite Box given the manufacturing challenges as well as having an exposed composite laminate edge.
