摘要

There is much interest currently in using Gas-to-Liquid (GTl) fuel as a value adding 'upgrade' component in diesel fuel in refinery streams, finished refinery fuel products and non-refinery blending facilities. This is due to GTL's use as a cetane and density improver allowing it to be used to change the properties of a fuel for any reason, such as meeting any relevant regulations or specifications. Direct blending of GTL is the preferred method of introduction. It is also desirable (or required by regulation in some regions) to blend a bio-component in to a fuel for environmental and sustainability reasons - e.g. in Europe Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAMEs) are used.
