The CA-Kart or Application of a compound onto screws used for installation of aircraft floor panels

The present proposal was made for applying CA1000 (a non-setting sealing compound) at screw shanks of screws that are used for installation of floor panels, in particular from aircraft. Currently the CA1000 is applied with a cartridge press directly into the counterbores of the floor panels. Thus, it can accidentally cover the screw threads when the screws are fitted into the bores With our invention the CA1000 will be applied at the screw shanks only. Objective of the proposal is to avoid falsifying the torque (moment of force) when installing floor panels, and thus to guarantee the quality requirements. The proposed CA-Kart is a tool for applying CA1000 at shanks of floor panel screws without letting the screw threads get in contact with the sealing compound.
