The present invention provides real time information regarding the water level on a flooded road which enables Vehicle or Driver to take decision to wade through the flood water ensuring safety of the occupants. The water level measuring sensor 1 mounted in the vehicle measures the height of water on the road and provides input to the vehicle control module 2 in the vehicle as shown in below sketch. The vehicle control module 2 will have the preset height of water on the road through which vehicle can wade through. The vehicle control module 2 compares the input height of flooded water with preset height and provides visual alert on vehicle display 3 along with sound alert. Based on these alerts, driver can take a decision.
