Given a vehicle's known road load based on its configuration (mass, load, aerodynamics, etc.) a vehicle can detect additional environmental energy consumption impacts. This information can be provided through a centralized crowd sourcing service in units that can be used by other vehicles and applied to their own operating configuration.
