An onboard controller in the vehicle would calculate the optimal vehicle speed and the driver input such as acceleration pedal as well as the brake by gathering the driver behavior data and the map information regarding the route. Benefit of this invention is providing each customer the well-balanced drivability and fuel economy. Related acceleration pedal map is determined and realized by manufactures through vehicle characteristics analysis and powertrain control system calibration. For example, customer can arbitrarily select the cco-mode and sport modes for their fuel economy purpose or driving performance. However, this is very limited choice under a lot of individual driving pattern and (heir own daily route. Customers' requirement has a lot of variety and complexity to confine a few determined modes.
