Banjo style beam axle with C washer axle shaft retention

The present invention is a beam axle application with a welded housing structure known as a Banjo. The gear and differential installation is through a conventional third member install from the front into the axle housing. The axle design has internal axle shaft retention known as "C" washer retention. To assemble and service the axle shafts, it is required to have access to the differential to install and remove the "C" washers. This design thus has a rear axle cover attached to the welded axle housing by fasteners, which can be removed for assembly and service.
