End of Shaft Sensor Target Mounting for Electric Motors

The present invention provides several means to mount an inductive sensor target to the axial end of an electric motor rotor shaft. The inductive sensor (1) excites a target made of electrically conductive material (2) attached to the axial end of an electric motor rotor shaft (3). The sensor is capable of reading the electric machine's speed and angular position. As such, the sensor target must be rigidly affixed to the rotor shaft via one of several means.
