ROBOTIC ARM FOR XT OPERATIONS

A subsea Christmas tree (XT) includes valves for controlling the flow of fluids into and out of a well. A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) is typically used to open, close and adjust such valves, and to perform other necessary operations on the XT, e.g. Inspecting connections. In some situations a human diver may perform such tasks.
