BP AND VERENIUM'S CELLULOSIC ETHANOL JV

A 50:50 joint venture to develop and commercialize cellulosic ethanol from non-food feedstocks has been forged by BP and Verenium Corp.rnThe company will act as the commercial entity for the deployment technology being developed under the first phase of an existing BP-Verenium partnership.rnTogether the companies have agreed to commit US$45 million in funding and assets to the joint venture, intended to progress the development of one of the first commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol facilities in the US.
