Lion Air commits to 201 737 MAXs and 29 737-900ERs

BOEING AND LION AIR have announced a commitment by the airline to order 201 737 MAXs and 29 737-900ERS in a deal which also includes purchase rights for an additional 150 aircraft. "The 737 MAX will be the future of Lion Air," remarked Rusdi Kirana, the airline's president director. "The highly efficient, technologically advanced aeroplane will help Lion Air continue to bring low fares and allow us to open new destinations because of its longer range."
