S$45.4m loss for Tiger Group in FY2013

For the year ended 31 March 2013, Tiger Airways Holdings recorded an operating profit of S$7.3 million, a reversal from the operating loss of S$83.4 million in FY2012. After tax, this became a net loss of S$45.4 million, itself a 56.5% improvement from the S$104.3 million loss recorded a year ago. Commenting on the results, group CEO Koay Peng Yen said, "We are extremely encouraged to have achieved a second straight quarter of operating profit and are looking forward to delivering a sustained turnaround upon the completion of the Tiger Australia-Virgin joint venture in mid-July."
