New Honeywell IHM series sensors

Honeywell has launched a new series of self-diagnosing sensors designed to improve aircraft system performance and reduce the maintenance costs associated with false readings. The Integral Health Monitoring (IHM) series proximity sensors can deduce whether it is reading the systems correctly or if an error message is the result of damage or a problem with the sensor itself, says the company. The proximity sensors are configurable, non-contact devices designed to sense the presence or absence of a target in harsh-duty aircraft applications, such as determining when a thrust reverser is not fully closed.
