Peter Simpson, group CEO of Airline Investments Limited, is summarising - slightly tongue-in-cheek - the trend in European aviation for increasing amounts of third-party, ACMI (wet lease) and CPA (capacity purchase agreement) flying being carried out in Europe. One of the two airlines in the AIL group, bmi regional, is part of that movement. For example, the carrier flies routes on behalf of a number of airlines. And more services are always being sought.
