Visuwords does not provide much information about itself, or the creators behind it. It uses WordNet, provided by Princeton University, for the word connections and definitions, which I trust as an authoritative source. No membership whatsoever is required to use Visuwords, so you can start using it as soon as the main page has loaded, which it should do almost instantly; I had no wait times when using it. You can also follow Visuwords on Twitter, which is frequently posting, providing followers there with interesting words of the day and other information.
