Some years ago, I inherited some money and chose to invest it. This led to my having a medical examination, including a blood pressure check, which found I had elevated blood pressure. After various combinations of drugs, including partaking in a couple of clinical trials, we finally found a combination of drugs that has maintained me at acceptable levels for many years. This is the problem with hypertension, it is basically symptomless and if you do not get tested, nobody knows. I have only been to my general practitioner, for reasons other than blood pressure checks about four times in 30 years. So I might never have been tested.
